About
NightIrion is the name I've used when publishing my own iOS games and working with clients on theirs. My name is Ivan Galic, and I've been developing on the iPhone platform since the very beginnings of the SDK in 2008.
With some help of a friend and a hired graphics designer, the first iPhone game under the NightIrion name was published: Sleek. After that, my friend went on to work on some other projects, and I started freelancing as an iPhone developer. Working with Marroni Electronic Entertainment, two new games came out: iLikeCereal!! and iBailout!!, which was published by Hands-On mobile. With Royal Court Games, I've also developer Solitaire Stacker.
After a while, I started working at FiveMinutes ltd., where I had worked for RealNetworks, among others. Then for several months I had a chance to work at a real game development studio: Gamepires. Though I had been developing games ever since I first sat in front of a computer and the team was amazing, I realized I was pursuing the wrong thing and decided to pull back from game development altogether. I was sorely missing the iPhone after all, and my Mac which now had to run Windows :)
In spite of NightIrion having been conceived as a game brand, I like the name and the logo and so decided to keep it. Now I'm back in iOS development with a big interest in startups (working at ShoutEm) and the newest web technologies (especially the back end) so this site is going to be used as a blog for that kind talk - iOS and web development, startups and entrepreneurship...
Enjoy your stay!
Ivan
